Practicing making and using titles

For our opening two minutes,  we have practiced making titles, using the software called Adobe photoshop. we practiced using different coloured backgrounds and texts, and features with the production titles.  Here we have looked at different fonts and styles that could be used. for the first image we came up with the production title of cloud production, and we have decide from previous analysis of opening scene that most romantic film would include a black ground, to we have decided to keep with black ground to stay with the convention of what to in a romance film. So the first image shows a light blue font using the font called Nueva STD, and we have decided to use a light blue font, because it connotes relaxation and relief. This would be effective because film are a way of relaxing and is an enjoyment activity to do with family or friends. Watching a certain types of genre of film, will lead to the target audience escaping out of there everyday lives,to watching films, which may have events which they can relate to. Cloud production was the production title that we came up with, so to start off with we decided to have the title in the top right corner, with the black background. however we wanted to add more of an image or an feature of clouds, as we thought it looked quite plain, needed more going on in the introduction titles which would then compliment the title.
 Here we have add stripe of white starting quite narrow from the top and becoming thicker as it comes down. we have decide to use the colour white for our title, because it compliment well with the black background. We did this by creating a white curvy line around the title, and we then used then used smudge tool to smudge out the lines, and make it come out so that it creates a faded look. The white connotes purity and calmness, and this would be useful for the audience because it allows then to relax take away any stress they have to watch this film, so this colors are shown through that. we also decided to move the title from where it was originally, when it was in the top right hand corner,and now we have moved it next to the feature of the white that we added next to it. The overall look of our production looks good, as this will be what we introduce the film with and, the the title of cloud production, and the overall look works well as we have decided to keep it simple for the beginning of the film.

We then started to create the titles for our film, so we began by having the background black, We did this by using the paint bucket tool and and chose which colour by using the colour sector on the left hand side of the with all the other options for using colour or decorating the titles. We decide to come up with name of our film, and we came up with the lost locket. we have chosen this name because the locket will represent a key event in the film, so we have decide to highlight the word locket in the colour red. The colour red connotes love, and closeness, and this will reflect back to the protagonists or the couple, relationship, and the highlight of the red connotes that this locket is something special to the protagonist,and this will leave an enigma code for the audience to find out why the locket has been highlighted in this colour. The colors on the words 'the lost' indicate innocence, which could relate back  to the storyline of the film, and may show where the problem may arise during the film.
