Certificate rating for own film

For our film I have decided that the film will have be a 12 rating.
This is because our film is based a lot on teenage romance, which would appeal to a younger audience, as some of the events that occur in the film, they may have experienced Putting this rating will broaden the youth audience, allowing more people of different ages to go watch the film. They may relate to some of the event that will happen during the film or during the opening scene. It links to the codes and conventions of romance films, because most films are rated at a 12 some include of The fault in our stars, and love Rosie are all 12 ratings , so I will be linking closely to fit with the conventions of a romance film .
