For our makeup, we have looked in YouTube tutorial. For our opening 2 minutes we have decided to look into a natural base look for the protagonist. As we think that makeup should be quite neutral for school/college. However during the filming there may need extra, so its able to show up on camera. so this may include extra foundation or power, for the makeup to be visible on camera.
The first makeup tutorial, is quite good because its quite a neutral, but looks more on like there has been effort made. Especially with the eyes as there isn't really heavy, as she only uses mascara but the use of light colour of pinks/light orange eye shadow for a pale skin will suit the the base of the face. The lips aren't as heavy, and its a neutral look as it isn't as bold look. This would be a good tutorial to use because it would be suitable for a teenager to use and will also show the protagonist character, and personality. But this look would need to be adapted for different skin types and tones, for this look, so we would have to trial different shades to adapt different tones.
The next tutorial that we had found which would be suitable for our opening 2 minutes, as the protagonist could be wearing during that time. I think this would be a good tutorial to use as there doesn't show as much makeup used for it to be as noticeable in real life, however on camera there would be more makeup needed for it to be noticeable for the audience. Also this would be a good tutorial to use and practice, because it will the the female protagonist personality, and will show innocence, with suttle look of the makeup. This would be suitable for all skin types because the makeup used will show up well on camera, giving it a flawless look, and this could shown on the female protagonist, as this will suit her and the role she will be playing as the new girl starting college, and making an appearance on her first day. The makeup will reflect a fresh look on the protagonist, as it will show that she is trying to make a small amount of effort on her first day. For the camera we would make sure that most of her facial feature would stand out, by adding slight bit of eyeliner, and more mascara, enhance her eyes, and make sure that her lip have neutral colour, so that camera can catch the colour.
This makeup tutorial gives tips on how to achieve different makeup looks, in certain settings, for example from the this video, i found out that the amount of makeup that is put on whether its more or less, it will show up on a high quality camera, so we need to make sure that the make isn't too much to look overdone on camera, however there should be enough makeup for makeup to be noticed for us to achieve for the cast to be wearing to reflect the personality of the characters or protagonists. Using a HD powder or spf powders would work well on camera reduces flash back, making it less shiny, so watching this, we will consider and trial whether it would suit our setting and camera. Another thing is to look out for the light of the setting or location, as seen it tells us that make should preferable be done in the location where the filming is going to take place.
